Design my Canvas site
Build a clear, consistent Canvas structure using ACU Thrive templates and design principles.
STEP 1
What are you working on?
Start with the part of Canvas you want to design. Choose Whole unit for the complete recommended structure.
STEP 2
Tell us about the unit
STEP 3
Recommended Canvas structure
Example: first-year blended unit. Required templates are marked Thrive Standard.
Use the approved ACU Thrive homepage template without variation.
Welcome · How this unit works · Teaching team · Where to get help
Use the approved Assessment page template without variation.
STEP 4
Build your Canvas pages
Build a complete module or create a single page from approved ACU Canvas templates. Your unit context carries through to the builder.
Build a connected module sequence
Start with the topic and then work through each page. Content pages can be added or repeated as needed.
Next: Module Overview
Choose an ACU Canvas template
The template controls the structure; the Design Studio helps you populate the content.
Build the approved assessment template
Complete the unit-specific fields below. The seven-section structure and supplied ACU policy wording are retained in the generated Canvas page.
Build a Module Overview
Populate the current ACU Module Overview structure. The page adapts some task wording to the year level and delivery mode you selected earlier.
This preview uses the structure and stock wording from the Module Overview template you supplied.
Build a learning content page
Use the ACU Watch → Practise pattern to create a concise learning page for blended or online asynchronous delivery.
Module Wrap-up
Build the page that closes a module: review learning, surface questions, prepare for what comes next and remind students about assessment.
Set up the module knowledge check
Plan the short Canvas quiz used for retrieval, self-assessment and, from Module 2 onwards, progression to the next module.
